Silica Blue glaze stain (often based on Cobalt-Silica, Co-Si) is a high-temperature inorganic pigment used to produce shades of blue in ceramic glazes, clays and slips. These stains are versatile, offering stable, vibrant colours (ranging from deep to bright blue) that can be added at 1%–10% concentrations to base glazes or slips, suitable for high-temperature firing up to 1350 C.
